They'll post a video of DCL training tomorrow, Frank will say he's close to coming back but not ready for the rs and the following week will probably be out with a slight knock and not risked.

I just hope Maupay scores 6 in 2 to lessen the blow

No but another 5/6 goals would be a big boost could of been the difference in actually gaining a win in one of our 5 we haven’t won yet.
Absolutely agreed, but if we started any of those games with the squad as it is right now (I’m including Garner), don’t you think it’s possible we could have conjured up those goals through collective improvements?

But what good is it getting someone in for the sake of it. Look how that worked out with players like Niasse and Tosun. I know a loan isn’t a huge risk but if there is no one good enough available what’s the point?

This is a genuine question as I can’t think off the top of my head but can you think of any suitable players that have moved on loan that would have improved us? There may well be, just can’t think of any. And I’m not talking about ones with big obligations to buy
The point is they would be better than Rondon, I find it hard to believe that they couldn’t be. Any loan for a forward at a club who have just bought a new striker would do surely? An injury to Maupey and DCL at the same time and we are back to square one

This window has proved to me that the tactic of waiting till deadline day never works it's probably worked once and that was the Martinez summer with Rom, Mcarthy and Barry. But the truth is you end up with teams upping their prices or not selling players they don't want to lose. You are left with the dregs. Also this season it cost us a chance in five games not reinforcing in forward areas. It all stinks of Bill

They’re collecting them now

So neither are goal scorers but one of those non-goal scorers would have scored goals if fit? This logic is tricky to follow.
10 goals a season isn’t a natural goalscorer. If I implied DCL was a natural finisher then I’ve miss typed.

I find it baffling that we have no proper understood to DCL. Maupay; who may prove useful and be a good signing (none of this is a dig at him) is not the same type of player as DCL.

If DCL stays fit we are fine, if he doesn’t then we go another season without a genuine target in the box. Which makes Dwight McNeill sn even bigger pointless signing.

If we had started with maupay up top in every game, we would have 9 points minimum now.

Just having a striker who understands his position and can actually finish or get on the end of a ball forward, even without gana/Garner would have made a world of difference.
