ok so:

- Kid has promising season but prior season flops at championship level - keep him future star don't even sell him for £60m.
- Younger kid flops at Bottom of PL club after playing decent for a spell in a top 4 PL team prior year (which ended when a manager that doesn't play 3 in the middle drops him) & is a regular for his nation (MoTM against on eof the finalists in the Euro Champs) - bin him he's turd not worth the train ticket to get him here terrible purchase by the best recruitment club in the PL for under £10m.

That about right?
I reject that analysis. It's bogus.

And to compare Gordon with a PL failure like Gilmour is ridiculous.

But that's not really just my main concern mate. We have Maupay as back up who is as good as we're going to get for 2nd choice.

The issue is actually creating quality chances for whoever plays up front.
Hopefully we can see more of patterson attacking game, also have alot more options at cm with players who can actually get forward with pace now onana, iwobi even dacoure could be pushed forward. Who can join the attack and help create space for the cf.

It's actually not a bad idea to have someone working contacts year round to place the academy players in the best possible spots. It also probably helps Thelwell out quite a bit in terms of knowing who is available if we have someone constantly chatting up the lower division sides. I would argue it's likely that one of our problems in the transfer market has probably been a simple lack of relationship-building.

Whether it's worth the cost is another question. It's hard to know if this is simple "jobs for the lads" or a serious position from the outside, but Thelwell strikes me as the sort of character that doesn't mess around. If the lad doesn't produce results, the lad is probably gone.
Vaughan also has a good mix of knowing just how EFC works and a reasonable career as a journeyman striker in the lower divisions. This may help us turn some of our loanees into 1st team players by calling the coaches aand asking why they arent getting minutes , and also watching lower league teams play as a scout. Can't be on big money so its a good idea...

1) That fact was widely reported
2) If we had 50 million pounds from Richarlison on this season's accounts as a positive, all the dead money coming off next season and the season after means we could have spent like everyone else this window, due to how amortization works.
1. No it wasnt, twitter is not authoritative
2. I know its just a giant coincidence that we spent about the same amount as we got from Richy.
3. It makes less than zero sense for the league to be monitoring our spending and telling us what we can spend and then allow us to do everything based on the thought that maybe kinda we could maybe not violate the spending rules if we might possibly sell a player on the last day of the year. Its basic common sense, which you can choose to have or not have.

In my opinion - What a prospect he was.
Blighted by injury but he had some real potential. Gutted he never had the chance to really show what he could do at the highest level.
His style of play was always going to bring him injuries Bob. He was totally fearless. When he was breaking into the senior team, I thought he would be a world beater, he was a born finisher.
