From the Athletic today. Confirming our interest in Gakpo but also confirming that type of purchase this summer was only if Gordon moved. Will be interesting to see if we target an impact player in January. Hunch is we’ll look for a loan then and plan for a bigger signing next summer in the Gakpo mold.
The more I’ve thought about it the more this window becomes a normal Everton transfer window no matter who the manager has been.

Oh.. couldn’t be asked reading back to get context ? . Ya agree .. happy about most and pleased making a real dip at quality youth .. but none of that is new, which is why I won’t rate the window till we have seen them in action a few games.. but maybe this is a good thing.. we need to build. We needed players who are hungry to build their reputations. Hoping we have done that.
