In Fairness, i think we've made plenty of chances but haven't had anybody clinical enough to take them. Gray is exactly what we were warned about, flash but little end product.

Forest at home we had 19 shots and plenty of good openings. Bringing on a poacher and someone who was a threat would have seen us win that game. Chelsea we didnt win because 1. Doucoure/Sterling dive and 2. Lack of a finisher, we had chances and Villa, as soon as we got a goal we gained confidence and again, a proper striker sees us score again.

I am not suggestion Ben Brereton Díaz is the answer, as I said previous its a big step up, but i can see the merit in having him in the squad.

I'd love us to sign a dynamic striker who shows for the ball, can link, control, hold up, be a bother, but I just cant see it happening because it's Everton.

Nah I can't agree really. Very few of those shots against Forest were good chances, most of them were shots from areas you wouldn't really expect to score. In the 4 games we've hardly missed a sitter, Gray's chance on Saturday was probably the closest to being one and he ended up not even getting a shot away. It's an issue we've had for a long time, there's nobody in the team who you would say is a reliable creator of chances.

I think you've inadvertently hit the nail on the head using the word 'openings'. That's what we keep getting, openings that should lead to good chances, but don't, because we lack the players to make the final pass.

Ah ok. I was going off what Romano said which was we had a verbal offer of €30million rejected by the club. Quite possible the player wasn’t interested. Sounds like a number of clubs will be after him.

Well if Romano said it was the club then I'd say that's the truth. He would say the player isn't interested if he wasn't. Might still have legs if we can afford to up the offer
