Not gonna lie, I read last week that arsenal had bid 50mil on white and I thought 'jesus that's ridiculous'. Now I'm reading that we have offered it im like 'gwon lads, get him signed'
Yup. I said to my mates on WhatsApp that £50mill for White was daylight robbery. Now I’m all guns blazing lol

I’d be fairly confident it’s Daily Mail nonsense though. Although the media has been consistently saying that Ancelotti and Brands didn’t think our CBs were good enough so who knows.

He's a good player, with potential to become a very good player.

£50m is steep, but the rumoured structure of £20m upfront with £30m over a few years is actually very sensible.

Add in to that, that this may mean we're likely to be selling one of Holgate and Mina, the money you'd bring in with sales of either of those would offset a decent chunk of the cost whilst also getting an upgrade.

The White God partnership

Get Aarons and its the 'Max White God' or something amusing :)
In fairness White and Godfrey would be two of the best English centrebacks on the books both with a long career ahead of them.

Exactly...

We surely need to get a RB through the door first before another CB. That has to be priority.

Transfers dont happen like that...if we wait to tie up a RB then this deal could be gone.

Keane or Mina i reckon...

I hope £50m is guff, I was naively hoping that we'd see fees reduced after covid. Clubs don't learn do they.

Harry Maguire set a benchmark and Brighton dont need to sell.

Why would fees come down when billionaire owners are earning £100s of millions a year?

£20m upfront and £30m over a few years is....... £50m!!!!! What am I missing here? You do know that no transfer fee is ever paid upfront in totality don't you? I think PSG are still paying off Barca for Neymar!!!

Aarons Mina Godfrey Digne would be an very good first choice back 4. No chance we need a £50m centre half, unless we get £25m for Holgate or something mad like that.

I've enough stress worrying about my own money. Dont give 2 fks what billionaire mosh does with hos few bob. Just hopefully will make the squad better.

because of all the superleague nonsense, it showed that the current financial path is unsustainable, if the richest clubs in the world are skint maybe just maybe the fees need to reduce and wages come down. If this does not happen this game as we know it will cease to exist as more and more clubs go out of business.
