Everton Summer transfers 2021

I know that's the principle behind it, but I believe you should never look to move goalscorers on if you can avoid it. There is no guarantee that what you bring in will do the business regardless of pervious output. Look at Timo Werner.

We are a terrible squad who create few chances and score few goals. To look to move on a lad who has scored around the 20 goal mark in successive seasons is madness. Improve the squad first and then move him on. I suspect that we are still going to be stuck with most of this awful squad next year and need to buy wisely. I don't see how we can do that and replace him this summer.
I was replying to you about selling DCL and replacing him with some no mark. And you’ve turned it like I want to sell him lol

How do you work that out, given we have posted a loss of £240m in the last two years, therefore, we are already £135m over the £105m loss allowed in three years.
Didn’t Moshiri turn that debt into shares. If we got 80in and then bought 4 x 50 mil players on 5 year deals on 100k a week. That wouid work out next season. That would show a 20mil profit for next season. I realise we wouid have to pay another 40mil next season. But that’s apparently how it works.

Eh? I didn't think you were saying you wanted to sell him mate. I was just saying that anyone who just sees £££ signs for our budget if we sell him are being misguided. I think it will pose us considerable problems if we sell him right now.

And I don't think he's a world-beater before anyone piles on. I just think goalscorers are the hardest thing to replace and we need a much more stable team before we start messing around in that area.

For example, even though he wants out, it would be absolutely criminal to let Kean go to PSG on loan and also sell DCL. With James likely to go too, that will leave us with Richarlison's 10-15 goals (and that's if he stays) before additions. You cannot get rid of goals out of your existing team - it would be madness.

With richarlison at the olympics, rodriguez going to ac Milan, kean to PSG, dcl to Madrid/arsenal/ Chelsea/ Man Utd and sigurdsson going to Saudi Arabia our attacking frontline against Southampton currently looks like

Iwobi—-bernard—Gordon

———-Tosun————

Bring on the champions league I say

Thought tosun was injured?
Hopefully Bernard and iwobi will be sold too

I hope am wrong I get the feeling with Everton. We are happy with remaining mid table in the prem till the stadium is built. I no A lot of Money has been put in. We was all happy with last summers transfer window at the time. But we didn’t really spend that much. I think it will be more of the same. Like any Blue I am made up with the stadium. I am just getting bored of the awful togger an mid table finishes. I just can’t see much changing again this season.

Tosun has an ACL injury.

Zapata maybe. The other two were pretty well known as being some of the better players in those leagues.

The Zapata thing is also massively disingenuous because he was nothing at Napoli and only became this guy two clubs later at Atalanta.
One can say it was nothing, fact is he was sold for 10 million in profit. Sure now he is a greater player than that. Gasperini and that special club tend to do that. But profit in investments is undeniable. Regardless the signing ended in the positive. A variable that cant be said for more than half of our investments despite that being the basis of us being able to reinvest under FFP.

I imagine a good chunk of that £240 million loss will be wiped out if USM pay naming rights for the stadium in 1 instalment towards the stadium build.

I wouldnt sell DCL either way as Richarlison will be knackered on the back of 2x international tournaments this summer - I would be tempted to cash in on him if someone offered a huge bid of £75+ million.
At £75m I’d be tempted, but I don't think anyone will offer that much.

I don’t know, but what you are describing just sounds to me like an owner pumping money into a club. It just seems too easy to issue shares to the value of the debt.

I do think that there is a worthy conversation of selling Richarlison now. Beyond the tourney run he will be on which is a fair caveat, if his form stagnates next season again, his value could drop. It seems relatively stable from this year from last, but another lesser year, a year away from his prime the return might leave us feeling forced to sell based on disgruntlement, but for less than we would like to justify. This is all under the basis that an exit is likely in the next two seasons regardless. There is a convincing case this is the highest his market will be as a toffee.
