Everton Summer transfers 2021

In a world where:

1) Professional footballers play for money, and like to increase their wages via contract extensions and / or transfers

2) Newly promoted teams often do quite well in their first season in the prem and then regress in their second season

3) Players don't just play for their boyhood teams

4) Managers, like players, periodically move from one club to another

I share your belief that the transfer in question is unlikely... but my post was a comment on another poster's comment about Leeds' likely asking price IF Phillips was put up for sale. Try to keep up.

players who are doing well and are wanted by their clubs dont leave unless its a step up mate

The loan fee will be high which is why we agreed last season. We can only sell if we have a buyer. What the point in selling low when we can make money on his loan and save wages and still own him then sell him next season. Rather the lad decide to give the club a chance tbh.

The only way Kean on loan is acceptable again is if there’s an obligation to buy. If not I’d be pointing out to him that they clearly don’t want him that much and that he’s staying here. I doubt his stock will ever be higher than it is right now so not ensuring there’s a sale involved would be terrible business.

I agree with all of this, however we have Marcel Brands handling the deal.
