Townsend is an odd one. Never really been a standout on club form (but always seems to score worldies against Man City); but I remember a run of games he had for England and he was the best player on the field by miles.

He does have a habit of scoring spectacular goals against City.
He could be a decent impact sub to be fair.

One goal last season, one goal the season before, total. Scoring a consolation goal off the bench against City as we get pumped 5-1 is no reason to sign him.
