Everton Summer transfers 2021

But is good enough for AC Milan. Weird.

Not that weird in a league where a 35 year old kolarov is good enough to play games for the current league champions at CB...AND LEFT WING!!!

Neither were given a chance under Allardyce. RU surprised they wanted to go out on loan. Developing players involves playing them.

but they were given chances to play and they showed nothing to say they'd be successful in the Premier league. They both went out on loan to develop because neither were good enough for the league. Under Allardyce, he was brought in because we were scared of a relegation scrap. There was no way in hell he was going to play a kid who's got 30 apperences under his belt and shown nothing but he ability to loose the ball in dangerous areas.

Lookman had a good season at Fulham, one of their better players and streets ahead of Iwobi and Bernard.
Can’t complain at the money at the time tho.

Lookman may of looked good to a neutral fan but all I saw was the same kid loosing the ball in dangerous areas and not doing alot going forward.

The lad had the 12th most dispossessions (2.1pg) and bad ball controls leading to a loss of possession (3.1pg) in europe. I know he's a attacking player so that stat will naturally be high but he needs to be offering alot more going forward if hes going to be that much of a liability to succeed in this league.

Tosun cost us over £1 million per appearance (and how many of those were sub appearances).

Dreadfull signing with hindsight.

Oops wrong thread!

We knew something was up when allerdyce signed him then two weeks later basically said he was crap and not his buy

Had some bad luck that kid though. Palace seemed to really like him and roumors were they were happy to meet his 20m clause in his loan deal. Tyen his leg fell off. Then it looked like we were going to sell him to Turkey for a couple of mill this summer and his other leg fell off. So now he'll walk out of the club for nothing and his career is pretty much kaput.

hhave had mixed feelings about the signings, and thought, ok they're hungry players with PL experience, and good for a deeper squad, but then it feels all so bland and uninspiring to see Townsend, Iwobi and Doucoure in one shot (even though Doucs is good) and then Begovic, Keane - it all felt a bit like Premier League mediocre collector's club. Don't know how else to describe it. I really hope I'm proven wrong, but i'm looking for that strategy in our transfers still, which I don't see

When Burnley beat us at Goodison last season Westwood was the best midfielder on the field. Like Harrison Reed was for Fulham.
Non flashy players who do their job .
And your point is? We should be signing non flashy players who do a job against us? It wasn’t hard to look good against us last season

My point is that players like this might not be highly rated by people who do not watch them that often but are solid professionals who play an important part for clubs . Like McCarthy was for us in his first season, like Gareth Barry was for us as well.
