We potentially could be in same position next summer as Villa are in this season . Suspect club allowed Richy to play in Olympics if he stayed on this season . I also reckon this time next year Richy leaves for big money and also potentially a question mark of DCL. If he continues to play next season as he has done this season does he start looking and wanting to play European football? So potentially and yes it’s not beyond of possibility that we could lose both of them

Could you suggest any players that are better or even as good as Grealish that Villa could afford or would have the pulling power to actually attract to the club. We are not in Europe and finished 11th in the PL last season. Its hardly the choice club for the better players. We need to buy players to try and break into the top 6 and into Europa football to try and attract better quality players. That said, Buendia and Baily look like good players with potential and Ings is a 1 in 2 proven PL goal scorer

Only issue is no one is paying more than 55-60M for Richarlison (and im being overly generous with that figure when you consider theres a significant reduction in the number of clubs in a position to spend that type of money on a player).

I’d be astounded if Everton agree to sell Richarlison for <£80m. If a club won’t pay that, then he stays.

I think that it has been on the cards all summer and you have done decent business before he goes. Once that £100m drops into your account then clubs will be demanding absurd money from you.

Most are wetting their beds and talking about loyalty and stuff like that. I think too many people forget that football is a business and it needs to be managed as such to keep on top of things and try to compete. I think the realisation will drop in time that 100m would be daft to refuse. But the main reason Villa fans are annoyed is that a bigger club is taking our best players. Fans don't like to see that happen. It's kind of like why lads with small dicks buy a Porsche. The alfa male is coming through.
