He'd probably be good for them. He needs a team with a functioning passing system and we don't even try to do that. I'm not saying he's going to turn into Iniesta but the guy can move the ball when he's got players who understand how to do that with him. Instead he's got probably the worst collection of passing players this side of Burnley. It's a horrendous fit and always has been.

That's why weirdly Gray and Townsend are sensible enough signings. They just want to run at a player and smash a shot or cross. It's also why selling James isn't that crazy.

It's also a complete mess.
