Everton Summer transfers 2021

so for trying to destroy football as we know it, it's a £3m fine, for breaking ffp it's a 12 points deduction, limited squad for Europe and potential transfer ban....Yes that sounds about right and incredibly fair. :coffee:
That’s exactly what it is. Just one of the reasons that any team punished in a major way can fight it and show how unfair everything is.

remember the main person perez in charge of the super league said one of the main reasons he wanted to start the super league is young people are losing interest in the game, somehow by creating the super league it would bring young fans back. Reality is young people are losing interest in the game because how expensive it is. Most youngsters can’t afford £50 a month for sky sports, £30 a month for bt sports, then have to pay for amazon prime for some games, pay for la liga tv etc all together £100 plus a month. The guys at the top making the decisions are completely deluded.

FFP would only see us falling foul of UEFA’s rules, so if we were 19th any sanctions that would affect European competitions wouldn’t affect us.

It’s the PL profit and sustainability rules we need to be careful of and are currently sailing close to breaching. No team has broke these yet that im aware of.

But can pretty much guarantee if we were the first to do it they would completely throw the book at us. Likely points deductions, fines and a transfer ban imho.

If it was one of the PL’s cash cows however, would likely be a fine and a slap on the wrist.
I'm completely head fried with the PL profit sustainability issue. I thought it was based around our last 3 years up until 30th June, so any business (ins or outs) wouldnt make a jot of difference to the figure.
Also thought from reading into it that we were def over the cumulative £105m loss.
If that is the case, why are we all wasting our time trying to crash the CIMA qualification before end of transfer window to try and work out if we sell JJK for £2m does that mean we can buy Dumfries for £20m and give him an Everton special 10 year contract!

saw that Josh Sergeant signed for Norwich from Werder Bremen - always seemed like he'd be an 'Everton' type player.
Not good enough at all. He’ll struggle massively in the prem, so he’s perfect for Norwich…

Rather we go for Hoppe from Schalke if we’re looking for bargain American forwards. He’s raw, but physically he’s got what it takes, and he’s a pretty good finisher.

The overall view is that we're skirting close but covid losses and the new stadium build chew up a large part of our overall £105mill Premier League FFP 3 year accounting.

The issue with the league's FFP rules is that they're very lazy. As long as fees, wages and taxes are paid, they tend to stay clear of the club. Hence why the didn't bother with Man City when UeFa found them to breach their FFP rules.

I think cos of covid losses and the stadium cash injection, we look to be on a sell to buy to reinvest rather than throw money at it. Hence why the idea that most of our players are up for grabs unofficially - key ones being Kean, Mina, Delph, Gomes - players we can get money for.
