Interesting that we've supposedly had a bid turned down for Correa in the press around the time Kean starts making cryptic posts about potentially leaving.

Although I have a feeling Correa would be more a replacement for James playing behind DCL with a more natural target man like Rondon signed as a replacement for Kean to come off the bench.

We also had a bid turned down for Shearer too, and he is better than Rondon now

Dont fall into the trap our fanbase often do of demanding CL signings man we are a midtable club in the middle of cost cutting.

If any players comes through the door that are better than the player who's position they are taking then its a positive for the club.

Our problem is we've done the complete opposite in recent years:

Lukaku - Sandro
Stones - Williams
Gana - Delph
Deulofeu - Iwobi

Replace the likes of Coleman, Iwobi, Tosun/Kean with players linked like Correa, McNeil & Dumfries is how we start to move up the table.

Never been given a proper run , when he does start and score, he gets dropped in the next game. His treatment has been disgraceful

We are - which is why players like that will be signing on 60-80k a week deals whilst the likes of Gomes, Soggy, James etc on 100k+ a week contracts will slowly be phased out.

Anyone expecting CL level players to come to a midtable club who can't entice them with £130k+ a week deals is going to be in for dissapointment if we even bring anyone in.

I'll just be ecstatic to see the likes of Coleman and Iwobi booted out of the starting 11 most weeks!

For the umpteenth time, FFP only applies if you're competing in the European competitions.

We're hamstrung by the Premier League rules governing Profit and Sustainability.
