Yay another cryptic post
Cryptic lol. He is gonzo. Its gas the leeway we are affording him. Crying to leave constantly and we are all pretending we can't read through the lines cause we desperately want him to stay. He's been acting like we don't exist. Doesn't care one jot about us.

Beginning to hate him a bit….

Same here mate

Does look like he’s off to atletico that picture. Shame as would have loved to see him play in person.

good news if it is the case it will have dropped the wage bill even further and probably results in two players in positions we need

@USABlue how you doing mate. What you think of the Hoppe link? is he any good.?You must be happy with the Gold cup win. Howd Hoppe play?? Have the Suns signed McGee yet??
I like Hoppe but not sure if he's ready for the Prem. Getting consistent minutes is most important for his development and I don't think he'd play enough here. Love the momentum of the US men's team right now. Lots of young, hungry talent. Suns signed McGee today. Hope all is well with you!

Its above my paygrade mate but I've copied and pasted this from forbes - its written by a much smarter person than me lol..its all creative accountancy.. ...What also makes sense is the financials of the deal. On paper, Barcelona are said to be paying €70 million for Pjanic, while younger man Arthur is costing Juve €80 million, which looks to work out as a swap deal plus €10 million cash from the Bianconeri. However, FFP rules mean that both clubs will be able to report €60 million profit on their books, due to player amortisation.
Barca paid €30 million for Arthur in 2018 on a six-year deal, meaning that his value decreases by €5 million per year in terms of FFP. Therefore, he is now worth €20m in terms of their accounting, meaning a sale for the equivalent of €80 million means the Catalan side can show a €60 million profit.
Similarly, Pjanic arrived in Turin from Roma for €35 million in July 2016 on a five-year contract, meaning his FFP value reduces by €7m per year, leaving €21 million in value on the books after two years when he was handed a new five-year contract by the club. The remaining €21 million is then divided by five and therefore reduces by €4.2 million per year, and currently leaving €13 million in value on Juve’s accounts. A €70 million sale therefore leaves a tidy €57 million profit for the Old Lady
This makes sense but Barca now want him gone. There is even mention of a possible free transfer back to Juve to get his salary off the books. Using the the same logic his inflated initial value would mean a staggering loss if they released him now and in order to prevent that loss it would need some even more creative accounting

I see @Earwigjoe covered this in the previous page.

Also, dont forget that any players we bring in this season will probably have their amortisation covered next year as we will have freed up wages from players leaving and were allowed to also increase our wage budget by £7mil a season

I replied to @Earwigjoe but it looks to me like a pyramid type of scheme where you keep on inflating values to spend until things collapse.

Seriously, Paul McGee must be 90. Great to see the respect given Stateside to the QPR and Sligo Rovers ledg but this is too much.

100%. I don’t really see him more than an impact sub at best at this point. He reminds of a young Clint Dempsey. Nose for goal, tries [Poor language removed], plays with a real confidence but doesn’t always turn out. Good to have him an as option but I could see a loan.

If we were in europe this season, we would need James to part to us for that matches. Now, we need a team more stable and focus on PL. He would be a luxury bench player due to our current financial problem. Thus, if he goes to other teams, we can then sign two or more necessary players. We have to let James leave…

I’m sad to see James shown the door but we all thought it was coming. We really have to make some good signings to replace him now though, even though it clearly won’t be like for like.
If we can get rid of a couple more (probably Gomes and Kean) and get in a good quality right back, another dynamic midfielder and a better version of Gray (I like him but he’s not top class) then as sad as I am to see James leave, we’ll have had a very good window for what Benitez wants to do.

I must admit, I didn’t care what Benitez wanted to do until the performance at the weekend and total commitment from all players involved. Seeing Everton win games and play with passion will certainly help me forget about James.
