Everton Summer transfers 2021

Knowing our look James will publicly state he wants to stay and sign an extension. Then people will fume he’s taking up more wages

After reading the forum comments about himself, he`s currently running up and down the sand dunes at Formby, with a backpack on, until he collapses.

He`s realised that the ability to " run around a lot " is what`s been missing from his game for all these years.

Great Post! Very true - our fans' attitude to genuinely good players completely baffles me sometimes.

we're an odd club

also, this lad ain't all that I don't think

but Schalke are/were crap , so hard to tell
Im an American so I understand I have a bias but people said the same thing about Weston McKennie when he was at a terrible Schalke squad. Then Juventus bought him and after a year extended his contact and is a key member of juve now.

I know when hoppe has played for the national team he has been extremely aggressive and wasn’t afraid to take anyone on. He is quick and works extremely hard. I’m not prepared to say he is going to be a superstar but for 2 million I think it’s an absolute steal

Oh I'd be happy enough if we signed him. Need the options. £2m definitely a good deal. But we'd need more than him, much more.

Well it turns out I'm a professional footballer for a living. So you are in luck I can really give you a accute answer on the comparable situation you are creating. So this alleged boss who's done all this is there proof to that? OK ill pretend there is. I'd be annoyed yes. But I'd reach out to the fans of my club, wouldn't treat them like mushrooms. Wouldn't blank them for my twitch following. I'd let them know are appreciated and subtly let them understand its out of my hands. Or atleast tell them how it is if its my doing.
Once I saw the word pretend there was no point reading the rest. Being a pro footballer was more truthful.

Isn't worth wasting my time trying to have a reasonable discussion with you.

I guess the losses incurred from the pandemic and meeting FFP guidelines have really bitten this window. I guess the best we can hope for is a couple of loans. RB being top priority, but Brands doesn’t see it that way it seems.

The cryarsing that occurs on this forum is entertaining and frustrating in equal measure.

A) We have James, who disrespected the club and holds us in no regard and is getting flogged. But it's like the end days for our ambitions. This is despite the fact that one of our most balanced and committed performances we have played in a very long time had no involvement from him whatsoever.

B) The inability to concede by a fair few that the shrewd deals we've worked through this summer were very influential at the weekend. Gray's mobility, pace and flair helped us move through the lines very quickly. Townsend already has an assist and displayed his ability to cross potently with both feet. It's almost like he had the best crossing accuracy in the league last season and that would translate well with better forwards...Oh yeah, he did and there are.

C) The bedwetting over the Hoppe, Buta and Anguissa links. Three players 25 and under with good word of mouth, relatively unknown and likely hungry for success and progression who would see Everton as an upward step in their careers. Weren't we all crying about signing older players for too much money? Just another thing on Anguissa , he's got great dribbling, tackling and intercept stats. Do we not remember Gueye?

I'm just saying folks, it might not be all bad. I'm sure this post will now be inundated with people going out their way to prove how these players are actually terrible and we're managed by a fat kopite dinosaur etc.

I thought the majority of people were pretty on board with Buta, Hoppe and Anguissa? The main issue people seem to have is the frustrating sell to buy position we find ourselves in. I’m legitimately concerned we may be sniped on the latter 2 due purely to our hands being tied. Touch wood it doesn’t but the whole situation is so frustrating, but if we can scratch the surface it could end up being positive. Anguissa would be exciting next to Doucoure. Hoppe for the quoted price is a no brainier. The RB situation to be fair is a joke and I get people’s issue there - it’s been glaring for years

On your point C, Leon Bailey was the only acceptable signing for us to make this summer, any one else will be met with a load of moaning.
