Can’t believe how much the club have managed to lower expectations.
We’ve gone from turning our noses at Chelsea and United players, ‘’If they’re not good enough for them they aren’t good enough for us’’, to being excited at Championship players, all in 6 months.

I dont mind it if I am honest. Like, we have had some really good PL ready players in the last few years, but they were either low fee, or Rom.

Can't see Davies or Gomes going to Fulham.

Gomes might have to consider his options. Surely Benitez must have seen Gomes will not suit his style of play and probably told him to look for a move. Also it wil not be keep everybody/rotating crap as much as done by Anchelotti anymore. So Gomes could try to go back to Portugal/Spain or consider a loan to a team managed by a manager where he played hist best football and always in a shout for promotion.

1 in 4 for a 20 year old just moved to another country and playing in their top division is actually quite good.

DCL scored 8 in 44 for Everton at that age Compared to Hoppe’s 6 in 22.

True, but DCL scored them out of position in the PL. Either way, Im always for signing exiting young players, specially for the price quoted.
