Given he's not quite 22 yet, I think we'd be paying for his 'potential' as much as his current ability. He's a good player, but a bit of a gamble when we're as financially constrained as we are right now.

Given he's not quite 22 yet, I think we'd be paying for his 'potential' as much as his current ability. He's a good player, but a bit of a gamble when we're as financially constrained as we are right now.

If we're going to use him the way Burnley do and given our current style of play that is the case I'm not sure what he's developing to justify the fee

We are in no condition to pay 25m for ‘potential’ at the moment, no matter what league the player is in. Is he currently a 25m player? I dont think so. Rather save the money and spend it on someone whos a bit closer to what we need right now, not what they might become in the future. We’ve been burnt a bit to often lately for it to be worth the gamble.
