£5m Scottish RB is a bit of a Moyes days signing isn't it.

If anything it’s a bit extravagant compared to our £60k Irishman!
Based off the starts Gray and Townsend have made compared to the likes of Iwobi and Sigurdsson I’m all for this conservative spending if the players the right fit!

Great player and future star can’t see Rangers accepting £5m

….Tavernier really is a key player at Rangers. He’s 29, he’s club captain and he’d take some shifting from first team RB. Difficult to see Patterson getting much game time anytime soon, so I suppose it’s whether Rangers want to keep such an asset as back-up.

I dare say a deal could be done but it might have to be stacked up with add-ons.

My Rangers supporting mates feedback was that he is ‘great’, ‘only 19’ and ‘wouldn’t want to lose him’. Reckons they’d want more like £10-15m to sell though.

Think he’s only got 12 months left on his contract. I’m not sure Rangers would be able to demand that price

Only issue I have is we need someone who can play 10-20 games this season at the least, Seamus cannot play every game. Unless we use Holgate or Godfrey there as cover while this kid gets up to speed.

Problem is Coleman needs replacing immediately with a quality starting RB not a young lad who'll likely need a 2-3 seasons to develop into the player we need now.

If funds are tight just get in 1-2 stop gap loans until next summer.

If we get this kid and a loan at RB then that's clever. You are addressing the now and the future.
