Everton Summer transfers 2021

Think he generally chats wham doesn’t he? Although I think Richy’s agent has been trying to get Everton flog him to a European super power for a fair while, if one is prepared to pay the money.

Yeah, loads. He works for his own platform so things like this generate views, listens and money

Make no mistake - If the Richarlison rumours are true, he goes. We simply can’t turn a big bid down given our financial position.

Best case we can get a loan with OTB for a replacement so they’re in ahead of the Richy cash, and then we can always activate the clause early similar to what Spurs did with Lo Celso.
Of course we can turn it down. If we were desperate for the money him or DCL wouid have gone already.

We will have plenty after a few of our players next summer if we need to sell and re-group. No way we do this late, would basically kill our season

Have to disagree. Our woes are purely regarding fresh recruitment due to FFP.

Pre-FFP we would not really be in any financial troubles at all with our ownership structure.

Unless PSG stumped up £120m+, we'd be mad to sell. Especially considering we'd have no time to replace him.

I think there’s a difference between being desperate for the money - needing to sell to allow the club to continue trading, pay wages etc - and recognising when a bid you perhaps weren’t expecting is too good to turn down.

Also we know players have power these days. If we get a big bid, turn it down and end up with a sulky cryarse on our hands then we lose doubly.

Small sample size, admittedly, but we seem to have spent what little we had shrewdly so far. Just have to hope we can do the same with the Richy wedge if it comes in.

Welcome, Salomon.

Agreed, but if we can accelerate our escape from these FFP restrictions in one fell swoop, should we?

It’s a question of keeping a player you hope will improve our position by himself, or taking the chance on improving our position as a business and hoping we make the right choices in replacing him/improving the squad with the income.

For the record I don’t want him to go, I just think he will.
