Did we get a fee for Kean last season? Just wondering if the suggested figures of £25m are to believed I wonder if we will have made anything on him….
If we don’t, having spend £27m on him with only 1 year on his contract it’s another embarrassing transfer blunder.

The fact that we recouped any money at all makes his signing a resounding success in the context of our recent transfer history

Yep, woulda been a great signing, unfortunately a lot of people on here don’t watch him play so just assume he’s the same RS reject from 5 years ago.

They play different positions though. Most would have taken ings regardless of his RS past because he is a top striker now, but unfortunately, we already have one. He wouldn't want to be second string to DCL.

If richie goes we would still need another winger.

We don't have the foundations in place. So you don't even entertain it.

The budget this year was always based around moving Kean on and probably one other (maybe James). But getting money in for Kean and his wages off the books was the plan, and that should have been done earlier but for a few reasons - not all Everton's fault - it wasn't. With that money we need a right-back and an attacker.
