He costs us 8+ mill a year in wages and amortisation.
I really don't like this argument, he spent last year on loan to a very lucrative PSG who were believed to have payed all of his wages and provide us with a loan fee. Juventus will be paying his wages for the next two years. We of course had him for the full season during his first year at the club, whilst he didn't perform to the level we all hoped he still made 33 appearances that season.

Even if we take all of that out imagine if we discussed the wages paid throughout every player's contract during their time at the club. I understand we of course have to pay the players each week but they also contribute to the club making a lot of money each week. There's of course so many variables but the best debate around a player and their worth it to compare the transfer fee that's paid and the fee and what they're sold for.

I wouldn't argue otherwise mate, thats the nature of contract football, you are paying for a service. The relevance is in regard to losses and the club wellbeing. We made a 139 mill loss last year, that has been reduced by 8 mill plus with this deal on annual cost. Less loan fees and the eventual fee. Its less about Kean and more about the impact and wellbing of the club.

As a side i would have kept Kean myself, i wouldn't be part of the group think on him leaving, like Vlasic and Lookman on the day they are coming back to our direct rivals and teams that pipped us for European football last season, i think we've made another mistake in letting Moise go, I'm concerned the club cant get the best out of talented young players.
