However long austerity is forced on us, that is only the symptom and not the cause.

The same people at the wheel will engineer the same problems over again.

At least if Brands, Denise or someone came out when this is over and said lessons have been learned, however clichéd, it would be something.

I don't expect them to, it would be tantamount to an admission of failure, but that level of honesty is what we need.
