I agree mate, I think we’re going to be in a right state next season. I really do worry for the next 2/3 seasons

What would we all have said if at the start of the window we were offered Begovic, Gray, Townsend and Rondon for a total spend of under 5 million.

Ain't no two ways to dress it up, that's a fail. Hope it doesn't come back to bite us in the ass. For all the people who absolutely fumed at Benitez appointment it's tough to blame him now when he hasn't really been backed as advertised.

I'm sure benitez was/is aware of the budget when he had his five interviews for the job

IF it is all about the money.

How much would it have cost to keep Virginia and not sign Begovic and Lonergan? With their signing on fees? Instead we have 2 OAP goalkeepers aged 34 and 37... I probably talk for alot on here when I say I`d rather the youth have a chance than pay bigger wages to has-beens.

How much would it have cost to keep Nkounkou and let him play cup games up to a certain point and cover Digne.

Regarding the RB situation, why leave it till the last day to make moves? He has had a few months to sound players and teams out, some will say years...

Brands is the issue here, Leicester manage it on less than we have spent. West Ham have spent less than us till this window.

All we have managed to do in this window is make the age of the squad alot higher, replacing young fellas with players on the verge of retirement. I guess your in that camp, or are you just a yes man for everything this club does. It is OK to disagree!

Re Virginia/Nkounkou - These are lads that need games to develop, and aren’t going to get them here. I agree that leaving ourselves thin at LB is a very dicey gamble and we have to hope Digne doesn’t suffer any serious injury at any point.

Once more with the “Leicester/West Ham etc have done it better with us” - NOBODY is denying our abysmal transfer business in recent times and that has affected us doubly: a horrendously imbalanced squad and now an inability to significantly improve it because of limited financial clout.

You know for an absolute fact we haven’t “left it until the last day” to look for an RB. Even if you only take what we’ve heard/read at face value we’ve been pursuing players all window. We couldn’t afford Dumfries, seemingly didn’t think Buta was worth the outlay and have been blocked on the AMN deal. I assume even more deals have fallen by the wayside for various reasons, that we don’t even know about. But, if you want a RB in for the sake of it then we can always bring a blue home in Martina?!

Disagreeing is fine. Different opinions make a forum, but ignoring the blatant mitigating factors in order to just parrot the same old lame insults at Brands is just tiresome cryarsing.

Of course it did. We lost £240,000,000.00 over the last two years. We are in danger of a transfer ban and a points deduction.

We have made the biggest losses in the Premier League and it had to be brought under control. The clubs future was at risk.
