Its a debacle. Despite how much people like to play the blame game and think Brands is the only one at fault, I think there must be more than one responsible for this. A dysfunctional team who can't do the job expected of them.

Yes but brands is ultimately responsible. He is in charge of the scouting network. If the scouts aren’t doing their job, replace them. I find it very difficult to believe a scout hasn’t identified a long term successor to Coleman in 3 years.

Godfrey will play there if needed if we don’t get one, we have 4 CBs and Godfrey is quite versatile, also I believe if fit Gbamin can play CB, soon dedicated RB but we have plenty of defenders. Not ideal but it could work out ok, Lescott use to cover for Baines in Moyes time here and that worked out ok.
