Everton Summer transfers 2021

This is why you don't put too much on numbers and figures and actually look at players. I'm hoping Aarons will grow the same way Godfrey did.
Personally my aim would be to sign young players already performing at a solid level and try to turn them into great players instead of taking poor players and trying to develop them to a solid level. Aarons isn't the player right now he will be in 3 years but the player he is right now we need something from at a 35m price tag and whether we get anything feels pretty dubious at the minute.

How much do you reckon Dalot will cost or does he not catch your eye either?

He seems good, no idea what the price is. Also question how realistic signing him is when he's got United and most likely CL bound Milan involved.

Yeah I think United will be reluctant to sell to us but I think he's only got a year left so their hand might be forced. With regards to competing with Milan he might be interested in the opportunity to play for Ancelotti. Have you got any preference on who we sign at RB?

Honestly I'm not sure and the main reason I'm not sure is I don't really know what we're going to be asking our RB to do. If we want someone bombing on that is a different player than if we sign a RW who holds the width and crosses and doesn't need the guy behind him stepping into his space.

These days I don't really hold my own views regards players I prefer to sneer at other peoples.

No idea mate, but for me modern fullbacks are a very important attacking tool.

From what I understand Aarons is creating chances, but Pukki is garbo and misses them all.
Aside from the 22 times he hasn't missed of course.

I don't keep track of Norwich nearly closely enough but it is certainly odd from the distance I'm at that an "attacking" fullback has managed no assists in a team scoring like they are.

I dunno mate, I recall reading that he does have high chances created stats.

I tend to avoid naming players as generally they get ripped apart. I usually go for a type so I agree with you they need to be attacking as you can clearly see the difference between our right Holgate whose defensive and little threat and Digne whose attacking and is a threat.

I've come round to inverted wingers so I want a RB who is effectively a RWB and number 6 who can split the CBs to allow this to happen.

I read recently that FIFA say transfer fees should be dropping 40% this summer due to Covid.

Does make sense, clubs have lost a lot of money and will want deals cheaper but with fee all upfront instead of staggered payments over the duration of the contract.

All I can find is this that says Norwich have had 766 shots on goal.

Which seems an awful lot, of course it doesn't tell the whole picture.

Big decisions to be made. I like both DCL and Richarlison and it's clear both are best when playing as a central striker. Problem is aside from Leicester's remarkable season a few years back no team has had sustained success with two centre forwards.

I think priority has to be width, both a right back and 1-2 wide players. No idea who, I trust Brands and Ancelotti to sort that out. Just really hope we don't build around a diamond or 4-4-2. Although a centre-mid needs to be on the list also, preferably one with a bit of creativity and vision.

I think we should play 4-3-3 with Richarlison DCL James upfront and this could be switched to a diamond with James behind the other 2 or 3-4-1-2 if we play Gbamin at 6 he can drop in and make 3rd CB.
