He's impressed me with how he's been able to fit in at Atletico after playing a fairly different style at Spurs. But as you say he's just too old to be worth it at this point. We need to properly replace Seamus.

McNeil could tick a lot of boxes actually. Hes a great age and has had a large number of games at Burnley. The sort of guy Moyes would sign for West Ham and he would look decent.

Hes been well drilled into Burnleys system too, so you know how would do a job without the ball. The only issue I have with him is I've seen he wants to play centrally longer term.

If the price was right, theres not much downside to McNeil though.

Hasnt got the pace and would cost £35-40mil id imagine.

I think its best for us to bring in RB + CB + CM before looking at other positions.
