Covid has seen the end to FFP in its current anti competitive system.

The changes that come into effect next season are rumoured to be more based on wages than revenue.

Which we won't be compliant with either due to our habit of lashing out ridiculously lavish contracts to average players.

Depends really... they may be similar to the premier league sustainability rules, and be related to wage GROWTH rather than specifically to wage levels...

That could actually put us in a pretty good situation.

If the changes are based on wages, then we really are in trouble.

Kean has shone in Paris, helping the club to win the French Cup, and is looking to make sure he continues at the Parc des Princes.

Sounds a bold move

I said they said stuff FFP not they broke it , but add on the £247 mil they spent in 2019 you think thats compliant ?
They couldnt give a shoit for FFP.
What £247m ?

Chelsea have been really clever regarding FFP. Anyone you sign for your academy isn't included in FFP calculations.

Football accounting isn't about transfer fees. Fees are amortised over the length of a players contract. So you buy a £50m player on a five-year deal, and it is amortised as £10m per year.

When you sell a player you get the full transfer fee minus the players amortised value on the books. So when Chelsea sold Hazard his value on the books had amortised to virtually nothing so on the books they got £88m.

That explains why Chelsea can spend big in the transfer market and not breach FFP.

I remember on here either last summer or the summer previously and we were tenuously linked to Kante.
There was actually people on here telling me he’s not what we needed.
