Everton Summer transfers 2021

Well...this is now a lot more terrifying than it was 2 days ago...

Agreed I imagine all the plans we had in terms of incomings will be thrown out now. We may have been in for players of which only Ancelotti could attract to the club without Champions League football.

The concern is now the new manager waits it out to see what he has to deal with, where as we know what we’ll be dealing with and I for one cannot even entertain the idea of watching the likes of Iwobi, Gomes, Sigurdsson, Holgate, Delph, Tosun etc.... in an Everton shirt again.

Wonder how much Carlo leaving is going to change the targets we have. I say let Marcel address the squad and tell the the manager to deal with it. Don't think the club can afford to wait around on a new manager to go over the squad and give their input, then decide new targets to pursue. We all know where the holes are in the squad, a new manager doesn't change our current deficiencies.

Now is the time for another rebuild, brands needs to get young hungry players sort of like a Dortmund model. That’s the club we should be aspiring to be like

Which is hopefully the point of Brands. Have him completely gut the squad so the new manager doesn't even have time to look at them. A lot fo the ones I would prefer are used to just showing up and working with what they have so it shouldn't be too upsetting to bin off Iwobi, Sigurdsson, Delph & the lot to any incoming manager. "Hey, what happened to Delph? He was going to be integral" "No, he really wasn't. Trust me on this one".

We need players to come here for Everton not for who the manager is, for example when Moyes went in to West Ham he got rid of there expensive players that pellegrini had brought in and he got them Europe some I would think the fans weren’t really expecting. I think that is the way we perhaps need to go, ideally young and hungry players.

hopefully our DOF has a real plan and can go ahead with some.. especially up and comers we shouldn’t have to wait..
it always frustrates me when managers take time first.. seems fair enough but I expect them to know players on their radars already and know our players well enough to make a few calls.

Definitely should be able to sign some young talented lads all the same as per the original plan. He doesn't need a manager's preference to do that. They still have resale value at the very least

Well....my terror was that we would have Carlo and Brands duking it out. Carlo might get a couple older but better players, Brands would get....? So having JUST Brands in is giving me a wee bit of anxiety.
We are a step up from half of the clubs in the premier league, we’re not skint new stadium to come and although loads haven’t performed we do have some good players. There’s a fair few players that would be more than happy to come here, also it’s a bad move getting g them to come just for the manager, especially in these days when generally managers don’t last long

An assortment of footballers I'd like to see Brands signing for us (Prioritized by need IMO):
1. RB - Zeki Celik (Lille)
2. RM - Emiliano Buendia (Norwich)
3. CM/RM - Nahitan Nandez (Cagliari)
4. CDM - Yangel Herrera (Grenada/Man City)
