He was and he was/is talented but reports from Besiktas were that he was crap. Couldn't even displace Zengin whom whilst being the captain is absolutely pants.

I've got a feeling we could see Ross playing in a slightly deeper role in some games next season, though his defensive capabilities have been questionable.
