The fellas with good info on us are covering the Euros - Barrett, Hunter

The rest are all summer interns who are pumping out 150 word online pieces to generate clicks and ad revenue. The Mail are linking us with ever piece of dross imaginable. The Echo are even worse.

The thought process - 1. See Everton are now rich, 2. Link with someone they'd used to be linked with, 3. our fans will click and read so they can moan on here/Twitter/Facebook, 4. Profit.

Very very easy, that's why I'd take no notice until the Euros are done or a decent ITK like the Esk gives a bit of info.
 
Irish toffee here and will admit I know Shane Duffy well but watching the game here is certainly have him back at goodison as cover for centre backs and also out of the Irish team Hendricks from Derby and Randolph as back up keeper .... But maybe I'm biased ... COYBIG

only one from ireland i'd have is brady, and even then that's as a squad / cover player. (aside from the players we already have)

..the new manager will have his own team model and know the types of players he wants. We should always strive to improve the squad and not settle for who we have.

They are good British players, it's ok buying the likes of Mata,witsel etc, but I don't want us to go the man city way and go all out and just buy big name flare players, I think we need a balance of solid British players mixed with flare continental players. Also long would really be a good partner for Lukaku IMO.

....you'll definitely have one person strongly agreeing with you over Duffy.
 
I don't watch much of Blackburn but I bet Duffy makes a lot less mistakes than Stones, Duffy is a proper CB, Stones is a young Rio Ferdinand he couldn't defend when he was young either, when SAF bought him he stopped him faffing about with the ball and he became a top class defender.
