Everton Transfer Thread 2016

Clubs can sign players as soon as the last ball is kicked of the season.

But the window doesnt officially open until tomorrow.

1st July, since the Transfer Window system started.

I think people have a right to be a little worried now. The window has been open nearly a month, Koeman has been in about 3 weeks and has been on about 10 holidays. Teams all around us are signing players, yet where the one's mouthing of we have all this money to spend and we have links to ziltch. I don't want players in at the last minute or once the season has started. They should be getting done now for pre season, and training. We should be ready for this season, ready to make a point.

2 weeks he's been in charge, he was already on holiday during that point so lets say a week it's been a week since he was at Goodison and Finch Farm.

He's been/is back since/on Saturday, depending who you believe and pre-season starts Monday. We won't be signing last minute deals as the window is yet to open/opened 3/4 days before Koeman actually took charge.

Once he's evaluated the squad, deals will be done. It's easy to sit on paper and say "Well, Oviedo played against us, let's keep him" because if it comes to next week and for example Oviedo doesn't perform well enough, he'll get shut. Simple as.

He's not had the time to actually to sit and look at the squad in action and shape it to his likings. It takes time.

If its not open then how the hell are clubs buying, giving medicals, and parading the signings in there new shirts.[/Q
They officially sign on July 1st
It opened on June 9th for prem clubs, it is open tomorrow in German Spanish and Italian league

However regardless of date deals can be done prior to that and announced

That is why the are clubs who have finished above us who have signed 3/4 players already however their contract does not start until tomorrow

You honestly need to calm down and put some faith in the new regime.
This topic is on transfer rumours and potential signings not a place to throw your toys about who we haven't signed.

This exactly.

He'll assess the squad in full (minus the Euro absentees) next week. We're probably close to a few signings, but they may take a week or so - but will almost certainly be in the works

Hand on heart I hope we don't sign anyone for another 3-4 weeks because I want to know what Mike laa will be posting then. Fume off the Richter scale.

Its not even that, hes talking to people, I know this for an actual fact, not just 1 or 2, but lots and lots of people and people of only the highest calibre.

Its great, I honestly hope we keep it all quiet until the very last second and then suddenly just drop them all at once.

How do you reconcile him taking time to "evaluate the squad" with your statement that we won't be signing last-minute deals? By the time he has "seen the squad in action", surely the end of the window will be imminent?

Ryan Shotton has just gone from Derby to Birmingham what the HELL are we playing at? Deals going off left, right and centre and we're employing estate agents to do our transfer business.

Ffs Everton.

It was perhaps poor to say we won't do any last minute deals, because we might, deals appear and move quickly.

By saying the squad in action, I mean training. It's obvious to good managers in training who's worth keeping and whos's not.
