Goes against what esk and others have been saying to be fairanyone heard the rumour that player investment wont be what we thought it would be and that this will instead be put towards a stadium?

NahBetter than them 3
does this point to us keeping all the "stars" then? I honestly wouldn't mind that - there are really good players in there waiting to get out. that squad should be top 6 really as it is. Hope some of the kids become important first team players this year too. I though Roberto was doing a good job at that, but when you look back the younger lads on the periphery minutes really dropped off (at least that's my perception)Then why would Koeman come to this "project"?
Begovic was statistically the 2nd worst keeper in the league behind Howard in his last season as a first team player, Krul is floppy haired dog wank and cillesen is accidents waiting to happen
But as long as its some kind of improvement and I believe all 3 are better. Frazer Forster would be my 1st choiceCillessen is unable to catch a ball, according to people more clued up on him than me.
The other 3 are either bang average or barely above that level, the outlay wouldn't be worth the level of 'improvement' they would bring.

Not sure Koeman would have come here if he didn't have a big budget

Yeh I'd agree with that.
For me, we've got McCarthy who can play the holding role fine, but he lacks the passing ability to give us an only going forward. Barry I imagine will be his final season at the club, though he was brilliant last year.
Koeman often plays 4-3-3/a variation of 4-2-3-1
I think the below set up in midfield could really work next year.
McCarthy/Barry (holding)
Barkley/Kovacic (given a bit of a license to roam)
Schneiderlin/Strootman/Witsel (as the box to box player)
Obviously, the above are just examples.
On Kovacic any time I've seen him I've failed to have been impressed (or, impressed enough to think he's worth any where near 30mil), but I've no doubt he's got talent
Who's better, him or Joel?Stekelenberg seems nailed on, he'll be 2nd choice no doubt.
Palace are splashing cash signing Townsend and Benteke as well as Mandanda. That's a statement of intent. From Palace ffs.
Meanwhile, Everton are signing Stekelenburg from Fulham. Oh, happy days! Thought Mosh had dosh?
