Nobody is claiming him to be a worldie, like.
He's a solid option as back up and he's got bags of experience at big clubs, and has cost pretty much nothing in terms of a fee and his wages won't be (relatively) astronomical.
It's a sensible deal.

yeah plenty sunday league keepers have played over 500 games at a very high level. Including at a world cup final, and various champions league games.

He's a well respected member of the forum mate, and a mod to boot (as in he isn't going to keep up a charade and go against forum rules). He also happens to be a very smart and reasonable poster who has - as you know - been the only reliable source of info on here in the past year.
