I said a couple of days ago we were close to a couple of signings.

Two seperate sources say Witsel is agreed.

Btw if there's meltdown over Witsel what would be the reaction to Mata?

I think mata would be the first time we've signed a top draw player or superstar (not potential like rom or past it like ginola, gazza, eto etc) since gary speed. i'd be utterly made up and slightly amazed!
