Let's stick in an 8m bid, get him to upset the locals, whack in a transfer request, and settle on 16m.

Rugani is class but untried in our league. Managed a full season with Empoli without getting booked so he's clearly not snide enough for us.

Let's look at it this way.

Playing for Newcastle, surrounded by absolute rubbish = looked poor on the whole, but definitely stood out on occasion

Playing for France, surrounded by world class players = looked brilliant, possibly even their star man on several occasions

What's so laughable? Or you expect his price to be much higher? I am sure somebody would pay it.

Don't get me wrong though, I don't think we need him. Our priorities are elsewhere. Wings are more than sorted and looks like Witsel and Mata are coming in to the middle. ( )

Jordan Ibe £15M, Troy Deeney £30M, I know he's nowhere near a £35m player, but £20M is the new £5m, he was bang avarage for Newcastle last year I agree, but they were rubbish.

He's just had his best game ever but he's poor 99% of the time.
