This got me thinking if lukaku wanst to go to a champions league club. Napoli have been interested and have cash. Lets do a swop deal. Koulibaly plus 20mil for lukaku.

We then have stones replacment in the door. Take the 50 from.city for stones and that gives us 70mil to replace lukaku. An the other 100mil for the rest of the team building.

Who do you envisage coming in as a replacement for our home-grown, 20 goals a season, prem-proven 23 year old international striker?

There is no chance they will line up like that anyway. Far too unbalanced. I think they have a decent squad tbh.

If he is playing in a competing team and one that can actually defend I think he will definitely be motivated. He had a great two thirds of last season, but he looked frustrated that his efforts were wasted as we would ship in 2+ goals a game, looked like he had had enough after a point.

We have three weeks until the season starts mate. Kane and Aguero are the only two prem-based players who match or exceed Lukaku's abilities (Vardy is out of the equation due to age) and neither of them will be available. Not sure I'd be wanting to take a punt on a big money transfer for a player with no prem experience to come in a couple of weeks before the season starts and to be our only feasible striker option.

Not sure if you were at/saw the game yesterday, but the whole style when we went forward (slick, direct football and passes in-behind) just said to me that RK is going to build the entire team to Rom's strengths.

Del played No.9 yesterday, so obviously he was always on the shoulder of the defender looking to race behind, but that's also exactly how Rom plays and what he excels at.

Only a mega offer would get us to sell him IMO.

Best striker we've had in my lifetime. One of only five to get 50 league goals before 23. Got 60 goals for us in 3 seasons.

But yeah let's sell him and bring back the Joe Max Moore glory days eh?

I was at the game yesterday thought we played quite well. I liked davies hitting the llong balls down the channels for gerry.

Id like to keep rom. What i am saying is that if he is adament he wants to go then make the deal suit us. An so id look to deal.with napoli as it stops him joining a rival and would help to get koulibaly who will be a top player to replace stones.

I was actualy thinking bret angell or stuart barlow but max more might be a better shout.
