You speak of quality when our back up strikers are freaking Niasse and Kone, when we have McGeady as a winger in the squad and not a single midfielder in the whole squad has anything in terms of attacking intent.

Dont even get me started on our GKs.

The WRD lid said Koeman is livid with the balance of the squad, hell I spent a lot of time crying about it myself, the squad, whilst full of very talented players is so unbalanced its unreal, it has massive holes all over the place, it needs major work, not spaced out over 3 years, it needs it NOW, if we are to compete.

Who the hell wants to compete in 3 years?

I wanna compete next month, not in 2020.

There is so much in favour of spending big today rather than waiting for it.

If we don't do it now then we've missed another year and the margin of competition between us and other club continues to grow.

Waiting adds the risks of player-value inflation which as we've seen from this summer that we would have been in a considerably much better position with the same amount of money we reportedly have now if we were able to spend it last year rather than this one.


That inflation is only ever going to rise and the marginal increases continue to further put us behind other clubs who's boats are riding with the tide, especially those who continuously have player assets in demand and can generate a lot of revenue through player turnover which can then be used to increase their wage bill.


Each year we would wait to invest and substantially grow the wage bill within the STCC rules would represent opportunity costs for the club as they continue to be marginally outpaced by those around us.
