if he signs i'm going to be confused as to how to spell it.... for the longest time it was iarmolenko but i've recently converted to yarmolenko depends on what he chooses for himself i guess

Think he has Iamerlenko on his Kiev shirt and Yarmelenko on his Ukraine one, dunno why like

It,s now or never for brown shoes and his team this window + for our aspirations for rest of the season.
Too many times this board sat and watched when we need to push on and acquire new players in a Jan window.. maybe the penny has finally dropped.

I just can't get excited by the prospect of signing Yarmolenko. Regardless of rumours or some reality to the move his preferred position is a position we already have covered and whether or not he would be effective on the left negating his strongest instinct of cutting in is to be seen, only comparable way of looking at it is for someone like Robben who is so natural at cutting in from the right hand side but has never been considered to play on the left and naturally go on the outside of defenders.

Maybe it might see a position change for Geri into a more #10 role but that still leaves us with the fact the left side is horrendously unbalanced and we have coughed out 20 mill to test 2 players in new positions.

Much rather see us go after a Mertens type player already proven and comfortable on the left and in the centre.

☆I can only see Yarmolenko happening if the deal is done like with that swiss guy

☆The deal in this window would be dependable of Kevs departure

Lads don't do it yourselves ain't no hope in hell Yarmolenko is joining us this winter before they play City in champions league. First leg is Feb 24th.
Agree mate why would you leave your boyhood club when there in the last 16 of the champions league would have to be mad, cant see a summer move either if we dont get champions league or at least europa

Well they're very hard to get mate, that's the thing, and usually go to clubs in the Champions League, so it's catch 22.

You say you want experienced winners. Well, we've got one in Gareth Barry, who won the FA Cup, League Cup and Premier League at City.

We also have three more FA Cup winners in the form of Kone, Joel and McCarthy.

Mirallas won the title/everything over in Greece with Olympiacos. Deulofeu has come through the ranks of the most successful club on the planet. Funes-Mori won the title in Argentina with River Plate. Cleverley won the title and FA Cup at United.

There are plenty of winners in that squad.

and osman won an england cap!

that counts?
