Mate, the whole world knows what we do and don't need. If Koemit cannot see we need creativity in MF and a defender or 3 and a striker and no1 keeper then he is daft.
The point I am trying to make is that SURELY we could have addressed some of those areas before the Spurs game????

I doubt RK is the delay here, granted signing a manager and dof during the window hasn't helped but I'd imagine two bottom half finishes is the big sticking point. If we'd finished 6th last season it would have been a very different summer.

Would be good to get a player or two in before Spurs, and we might still. Hopefully a successful season will mean it doesn't take as long to get deals done next summer.

I might suggest being a strategist that we are waiting for the ludicrous prices to drop a little towards the end of the window when clubs realise that no-one is buying at those prices... I mean 75M for Lukaku?

I think that the strategy is not to sell unless we get an offer we can't refuse and that's 75m, I mean who do have as a replacement Kone ?

Ball is in Chelsea's court really its cough up or go home no matter what's printed in the Chelsea mouth piece the Evening Standard and if they leave it all to late (Like they did with Stones last season) all bids when they arrive will be rejected.

Chelsea never seem to learn when dealing withy us

That 100% rules out any chance of koulibaly as well I would deduce, overall mate we will be sat with a negative net spend before the first game of the season with the only statement signing being the one leaving the club in stones, at that point, really doesn't in my opinion set a very good signal to any targets sitting making a decision about us really.

Martin's indi, according to everyone I know whose seen him is utterly terrible as well, very worrying we went from trying for koulibaly one of the most touted cbs around to settling for a player Porto fans can't wait to get shut off.

Its actually soul destroying reading the posts on here and the Martins Indi thread with people saying hes a "solid defender" etc....

Questions should be asked if we sign him.

With the prices being quoted I'd like us to be shrewd and go for a few less high profile players that are reasonably priced and fit into what our squad lacks, as seems to be Walsh's forte. A marquee like Mata would be nice should they become available nearer the end of the window.

The word is that Ron is getting very frustrated with the clubs ability to finalise a transfer. He didn't want Gueye, he wanted carvalho and the board pulled the plug due to "financial reasons." Unacceptable and not good enough.
