Everton Transfer Thread 2016

I actually think it will be quite good

Gaz The Baz still has a lot to offer and that Gueye lad looked pretty tidy in that pre-season game

Barry is only an issue if he's over played

With careful management and clever squad rotation, Barry could still be a big player for us this season

The great fallacy is that we somehow have to attack down the middle

We have pace on the wings, we should use it

....the signs are that RK likes his wingers to come infield and support Lukaku. It might not be a fallacy, it might be a strategy but we'll know more after a few games. There's not really a right or wrong way to win football matches, let's see how the RK system works.

Long term it would be disastrous, it would offer nothing going forward and we would lose most midfield battles. It may be all we really have at present though. The only real attacking option would be Gibson and In not sure he is fit.

If he plays Rom, Geri, Mirallas and Barkley, then we will need both Barry and Gueye to back them up.

The problem with not having an attack down the middle is that it's too easy to stop. A fact that was all to obvious once teams realized if they stopped our fullbacks under Martinez then we had nothing.

Seriously though Gueye and Barry would give us one of the poorest midfields in the league.
