Everton Transfer Thread 2016

Think so myself mate.

Also read something a whilst back that Abramovic put the bloke in charge if transfers etc with the strict remit of staying within a strict budget on what fees and wages they offer - no more bankrolling them.

FFP buggered them up when it was relaxed as their entire model was get their team ahead of the rest prior to it coming in, and sustain it through selling young players, the relaxing of it meant others could just outspend them though.

Chelsea really if you look at it are competing transfer wise with the big boys only in the media now though.

Well to be fair they have spent more on Managers in the last few years than we have on players.

They have about 90 first team players on their books, would think Roman has told them to bin em all off, can still see them spending some serious money this window tho.

Aye there loans out are bloody insane most years.

do we really need another defender? we've got 4 cbs that can do a job. a lb if we loan galloway, but would prefer him to stay to give baines a rest, hes not so young anymore. same with the cm's, 4 lads that can do the job. i think our main priority needs to be an attacker, preferably a poaching type striker, happy with the wide options, and a gk... which is leaning towards being joe hart... which im happy about. gk and cf, maybe another creative attack mid, but thats a bit greedy. so happy to see us playing great football again, let the good times roll!!! (moyes currently 2-0 down at home to boro lol)

We were a CB short all of last season, Willams fills that whole. With Stones leaving we with out a doubt need another CB to fill his void.

At a certain point the media may cotton onto the fact Chelsea aren't operating in the same ballpark of players there able to buy as city and United, right now they're resembling the rs, being linked with quality at 50m etc and buying unproven or from teams like Leicester for 30.

Not much different to us really.
Roman hasn't been willing to bankroll them to the same degree as Utd and City for a while now. I think they remind me more of Arsenal when they were building their stadium. They haven't quite dropped to RS levels let.

However they still have a very good team and have bought well the last few years.

but surely ronald will scrap the 5 at the back formation after seeing how well our attackers play in a 4231 ? williams, jags to start, mori holgate bench?

Neither are what you consider commanding CBs, you could maybe say Williams is, but I think we lack somebody who can head a football.
would ronald really leave jags and mori on the bench and play a brand new cb pair? quiet risky and seen it fail for many other teams in the past... i think jags starts most games under rk

Actually think the rs, spurs, arsenal and Chelsea will all have (for them) alarmingly low net spends this summer

I would prefer Witsel, I think we need a more dynamic CM rather than another sitter.

Carvalho is a lot different than our other DMs tho.

Both would be utterly superb.

Kovacic wouldn't be a bad shout - seems way out of favour at madrid and young enough he may be willing to take the 'backwards' move in order to build himself up again, talented lad like

Perhaps so. Or Coleman will fill in at rwb and we keep going.

Time will tell, early days yet, I'm personally enjoying noticing the changes being brought in

In a recent interview with the official site Mirallas has said 4 at the back is first choice.
