If it came down to buying Byram or selling Howard i'd choose the latter every day of the week.

Agreed Howard been a decent keeper but his time here is more or less over, spend 2 mill on a keeper for cover and give Joel a good run of games.

The simple answer is to turn a first team player over. Take all the youngsters Martinez has signed, most often won't be good.enough at the end if the day. One may develop, 3 might, who knows. Point is by bringing them all in we can develop them as far as they can go and if they are good enough then great. If not then we can make a profit and move on.

Byram although older was just going to be the next one in the line as he was unproven at this level

West ham probably offered more wages and probably guaranteed starts, with Coleman we can't offer him many games at all. Also west ham are a better stepping stone to a bigger club, are players In the main are here to stay, look at stones in the summer if he had been at west ham chelsea would have got their way.
