I've seen Grenier play a couple of times. Seems to play on the right a lot, but often drifts centrally too. Don't think he'd fill that void on the left ....

If they get a lot of Newcastle information correct it might be that they know someone in France, where a large proportion of newcastles transfers come from.

He has been in touch, but nothing concrete. In the summer, his info was that if they get out of the CL group, (tick), they would expect a battle for a preliminary signing.

The fly in the ointment is the injury he picked up in mid December. He has been on a personal, low impact, recovery plan. The exact opposite to what happens in a transfer medical. He thinks that was nearing the end on the term, but I dont know if he played in their latest mini pre season games. (Winter break ends soon).

I get that thought but if we brought in Traore whilst he was injured for 6 weeks (and then the rest of the year after one cameo) and HE somehow passed a medical, makes me think that just about anyone can.

Never heard of him mate. Is he any good?

Haven't seen much of him the last year mate. Just checked his stats he didn't play a lot either due to 2 major injuries. Some seasons ago he was really promising. I just know he scored some good freekicks. If we don't have to pay much, and get a good playmaker in return for cases like when Barkley isn't playing good, it would be worth a try.
