Everton Transfer Thread 2016

No, i think that they were sensible and left it last minute (knowing that the player would chose spurs all along) to stop everton signing someone else, thus preventing a rival strengthening, experience in the market has shown through and our own naivety has shown through.

Care to provide another explanation as to why they left it so late?
To try & get him cheaper simple isn't it they knew he didn't want to come to us so clearly thought Newcastle would flinch

Alright lads, come here in peace. Created an account with you lot during the whole Koeman drama, and posed this question on May 5th "A question to you Everton fans, with City, United, Wet Spam, Chelski and you lot all planning on big overhauls of your squads and spending X hundred million, do you think A) there are enough good players out there, for all these big clubs? B) By saying you have 150 million to spend aren't you opening yourselves up to overpaying massively on players, as clubs know you have cash to burn?" Interesting how it panned out for everyone in this transfer market.

Saint's transfers have been underwhelming compared to the departures, but I'm happy with the value we got for Hojberg and Redmond, think they will be tidy acquisitions. Happy with Boufal. Think Williams and Gueye are good buys for you guys, Bolasie is a good player but a bit pricey.

Saints are really struggling under Puel at the moment, I hope it's just down to us learning the new system, but currently we look very poor. Koeman seems to have started well with you guys, and it will be interesting to see how the season goes for both of us. Best of luck for the rest of the season, until we play ofcourse!

He needs to ditch diamond formation, but watching french league i have noticed he is suborn

[Poor language removed] laughable. I've never been more [Poor language removed] angry in my entire life.

Watch this "new stadium" collapse too, it'll just be the new Goodison exterior (If that gets completed) plus a tier added to the Park End if even anything at all.

NOTHING WILL BE THE SAME THOUGH LADS, NEW ERA AM I RIGHT

Go outside and get some fresh air.

i genuinely think we have no money.

We just bid 30 mil for Sissoko who turned us down.

Bid 40mil euros for Brahimi, they wanted 50

Witsel turned us down

COuld not agree a price for the lad from Napoli. - we have money, just can't spend it.

Could you blame him, he has been told we have money with no proof and had word on good faith

Club is so rotten if you look at figures we are 30 mins away to deadline day with 0 net spend and he wants 3 more players

tv money still in bank and bit of stones left over

only spent the realsed players wages as well
Go back to Rawk you sad kopite

I've got to admit to being rather underwhelmed, frustrated and disheartened.

We've made a great start, we've got a good manager, a better team than we finished with last season and the potential to finish in the top 8 or so.

But the fact that so many players just don't see us as having enough potential or being able to fulfil their needs or having enough status for them is rather crushing and makes me irritated at the seeming belief that we are still a plucky underdog.

I only hope we have sufficient progress by Xmas that some players look at us and think we're worth a crack.

Not happy, but not dismayed.

Just apathetic.
I wish I felt apathy over how we've been manoeuvred into a corner by players and other clubs. It angers me - we need more ruthlessness and nous.

if we knew 2 hours ago it wasn't happening how about throwing eggs in one basket and putting £10m of the £30m from this deal into the brahimi deal

WEll now we think Sissoko isn't a toffee after all. Ok so it would have been nice to have a sigjning in on the last day, he wasn't exactlya big name though was he regardless of what the transfer fee says.

But I'm afraid I've got to be honest, I feel a little bit let down by the club again, not becaus eof this flipping cowboy, but just because I thought we may have spent more than just the bloody john stones money, and excuse my language but I'm sorry it's not bleeding on is it.

Thanks, Terry.

Kone deal stalling - apparently certain financial goalposts have been moved from when he agreed personal terms.

I'll post more when I have it.
