I really want us to sign someone, first to improve us and second cos its fun,exciting and new when we sign someone

however can totally understand if we don't and wont be moaning like mad, as less value in January market as many mangers have said and no point signing any old tom,dick or mcgeady

Are the fees for youth players not counted towards others? There are separate transfer budgets for youth and senior players.

Because he was too cheap for us mate at 4m so we didn't want him.

Considering we were willing to shell out ~15m on Yarmolenko in the summer and didn't spend it, just got 8.5m from Norwich, should have quite a bit of change available even if he was a 'first team signing'.

Yeh but that doesn't mean we will spend the money we have this window. If the right deal is available, we'll get somebody in this window, i'm confident of that.

Then the deal was tied up for him pretty much straight away when the window opened.

Austin has said himself that the move couldn't materialise in the summer but he was happy to wait until this month to go to Southampton. The reason many teams weren't in for him is because Austin wanted Sotton and he knew he could get first team football there.

He wouldn't have wanted to come here and play second fiddle, and rightly so.

We tried to buy him in the summer, it didn't happen because Kiev said they wanted to keep him for the Champions league. No one from Everton have come out and said we're trying to get a deal together now to bring him in, the only people saying we are, are supposedly a few ITKs, and the media.

Until we come out and say we tried to get him in, best thing to do is just chill.

Exactly this. It's in no way been a 'fiasco' at all. The only people getting into any type of hype over it are our fans! A lot of the time over rumours with very little substance.

As @roydo has said numerous times, it's not on, but it's not off.
