Everton Transfer Thread 2016

I like mcgeady but what winds me up the most and prob every Everton fan is his ability to make the hard stuff look so easy but a simple pass or run so impossible

I agree to an extent, but he also doesn't seem willing to put the effort in to get that confidence back, if you get me?

I was at the Barnsley game (where he got his only playing time this term). He was garbage
Agree, think he was worth the gamble given his price, hasn't paid off and now he needs to leave for both himself and for us. The writing was on the wall when we signed Lennon tbh.

I probably rate McGeady higher than a lot on here, he tracks back well and can do some of the difficult stuff excellently - his last minute goal for Ireland against Georgia for instance were superb.

Just he seems very much a confidence player and can trip over his own feet doing the simple stuff. If Emery can give him his confidence back and get him playing well then great for us all!

If you look at people's comments at the end of last season, then whilst he wasn't exactly highly rated, he wasn't widely hated or anything. He hasn't had any game time at all this year (not even counting one half v Barnsley), yet people have decided he's the worst player ever.
Think Roberto just hates wingers myself.

Had high hopes when he scored that beauty at the start of last season, Leicester?, and then he had a run of games and not only played well attacking wise but helped cover a very out of form Coleman. Then he got a back injury and flu which stopped him playing for a bit and he's never been the same since. Getting sent off in the cup vs West Ham was probably his nail in the coffin as far as a lot of fans were concerned.
