For all his faults with his attitude, hart is still a very good goalkeeper. If we end up with begovic as our no.1, to me it shows a lack of ambition. There is a very good goalkeeper available, in a position we have been crying out for years to strengthen, but are on settling for second best in begovic. Really hope RK is after Rico or horn or someone of that ilk and not begovic.

If seville were keen on hart we should have moved on rico quickly...

Likewise Horn and Leno could have been purchased...

Its bewildering.

If Koeman is interested in signing Hart he would not say the no interest quote. He would say it is not a good idea to talk about a player who is under contract to another club. Don't see this going through now.

But logically there is still interest in Hart or else we never would have entered into negotiations in the first place. I can see three cases that might have occurred:

1) Hart himself is making demands or isn't willing to come to Everton - If that's the case, Koeman and Everton may be truly done with him.
2) City have made the statement that they will never back off of their current price and Everton believe them - End of, no deal.
3) Everton believe City will back down and Koeman is playing a game of chicken with them to see if they will cave in - If this is the case, Koeman's statement is a negotiation tactic.

Personally I'd put it at about 30% that Hart comes to Everton.
