Honestly haven't seen too much of Soucek, but I've seen West Ham fans on Twitter rave about him plus these stats are certainly impressive and something we dearly lack in the engine room (For context, Richarlison has covered most distance for us at an average of just over 10). Very impressive goal-scoring record for a defensive midfielder too.

Although an unfashionable choice, I think a midfield combo of Hojbjerg and Soucek would drastically improve our midfield.
Soucek is only on loan to West Ham. We could potentially sort out the midfield for around £30 million. Then we can start looking for the creative wide player we so desperately need.
 
I would absolutely love it if we go nuts and spend £150m this window.

It doesn’t feel like we will, but who knows?

Hojbjerg and Allan for a combined £45m would be a game changer for our team.

There’s arguably question marks in every single position so it's interesting to see what Carlo and Marcel do.

Would be boss that mate.

Add in Everton Soares, a RW, RB & CF and we are sorted.

NEA about Gabriel think we have enough to see us through to next summer in the CB department.

Get allan and hojbjerg, a proper right winger as well as the centre back and we're laughing. Can play 4-3-3 with richy, dcl and james rodriguez as our front 3.

Keane is first or second choice with Carlo, he is the one who wins the headers or blocks and clears the ball, he will have by far the best defensive stats.
I bet since he’s been here he’s been on the bench less than any other centre half.

It's a low-key signing similar to Gueye was but a key position. Looking at his peers in that position like Fabinho, Matic he has quite similar stats so it's that type of player who keeps play moving and breaks up the opposition.

His lack of goals and assists is a concern:
108 games (Prem) - 4 goals - 4 assists
But with a Midfield of Davies, Sigurdsson, Gomes and Delph who this season have contributed between them this season: 3 goals and 4 assists. We need to find more creative players.

Anything under £20m is a good start.

Not terribly concerned about goals and assists if his job is to provide cover for the back four, break up play and advance the ball. Looked our best with Gana filling that roll second half of last year and he had 4 goals in 108 games. Funny coincidence there

I meant to add that, not just going by Stats. Watched almost all Palace games this year as well as my son is a Palace fan and a high level JR GK. Had conversations with a number of his GK coaches that work as D1 or professional league. Guaita is quality.
