Baines needs replacing, after that I'd be quite happy with signing a new midfield, sell what we can out of Davies, Gilfi, Bernard, Walcott and Iwobi. If we can punt that 5 and sign 2 wingers and 2 CMs I'd be happy with the window.

There are plenty of examples of players who have improved after a loan, nevertheless loaning players out can be lucrative if wages are covered and a loan fee is paid. There’s also the opportunity for him to showcase his abilities In a competitive league to advance his career which would benefit the club one way or the other.

Not against the loan at all and hopefully it leads to a sale, but can we really see him ever playing any first team football for us?

Why would we be looking at zaha when we could get grealish for the same price or even less, whos twice the player and only 24.

File zaha under not happening. Better players out there for less money.

Mate, please show your workings out for this

LOOOOOOOL
Hahahaha I mean in terms of their value on the books

Bolasie was 22-28, Cenk 27, Iwobi 26-40

I’d rather have Fraser or Shaqiri over Zaha. I want team players rather than a bunch of individuals. We need to get back to a Moyes type squad, but add in 1 or 2 star quality in the mix. Alas I know this might take about 4 years to achieve.

Neither of them are team players. Fraser jibbed off playing at the end of the season to look after himself.

Even if we decided to pursue Grealish and the player wants to leave Villa, why would he choose to play for us. For him we would represent a sideways step at best and he could do far far better at present.
And then there is the cost.
This one is definitely a non-starter.

If we were going to spend over the odds on a player I'd break the bank for Thomas Partey before the likes of Grealish. It's what we need more.

Give him silly wages - his release clause is "only" around £45m and the lad is outstanding.
