Seems to be a bit of a lack of realism about where we are going on.

Think it was just one person who mentioned Martial and Rashford. No idea where Kante came from. But yeah, it’s a bit ridiculous.

Not a patch on Lukaku, McCarthy and Barry. That was a proper deadline day.

It didn't last long, but the team that finished 2011-12 and then carried on into 2012-13 was very decent. Similar situation to the one that you mentioned, I suppose. Nothing positive ever seems to last here.

Thinking back, there have been some good players at Everton in the last decade. I was hoping that Moshiri's money would increase our chances of seeing the kind of transcendent talent that it takes to lift a promising team up to the next level (Liverpool and Tottenham have had a few), but luck seems to have deserted us.
